Wondering about the implications of the underwear bomber…
After Richard Reid tried to blow up a plane with his shoe, we all had to take off our shoes before going on a plane. After the plot about bombs in baby bottles was uncovered, we couldn’t bring liquids on board.
So we wonder, now that Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab tried to blow up a plane with explosives in his skivvies, will we have to take our underwear off before getting on a plane?

Prayers needed for an American captive soldier
SFI’s heart and prayers go out to the family of Pvt. Bowe Robert Bergdahl, who vanished from his base in a Taliban stronghold in eastern Afghanistan in June.
A videotape of the 23-year-old was released on Friday, in which the Idaho native reads what is obviously a statement prepared by the Taliban in which he recounts a bunch of propagandistic statements about the war in Afghanistan. The Taliban want to exchange Bergdahl for fighters of theirs captured by U.S. forces.
Sound familiar? Fortunately, U.S. military officials reacted with disgust: “It reflects nothing more than the violent, deceitful tactics of the Taliban insurgency,” US Navy Rear Adm Gregory Smith said in a statement. “To release this video on Christmas Day is an affront to the deeply concerned family and friends of Bowe Bergdahl.”
The Bergdahl family later issued a statement through the Idaho National Guard, urging the captors “to let our only son come home”.
And to Pte Bergdahl, the family said: “We love you and we believe in you. Stay strong.”
Please say prayers for Bergdahl and for his family. May he swiftly be reunited with his loved ones, and may his captors be vanquished.
