U.S. to reconsider P.A. funding following Hamas-Fatah unity deal

As the Palestinian Authority reconciles with Hamas, the U.S. rethinks the roughly $400 million per year it gives to the P.A. to strengthen its governance and security.

“The Palestinian Authority has chosen an alliance with violence and extremism over the democratic values that Israel represents,” a bipartisan group of US lawmakers said on Thursday after a meeting in Tel Aviv with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Democratic and Republican lawmakers in Washington warned US funding could not flow to a government that includes a group still on the US list of foreign terrorist organizations.

I sure hope we do stop sending money. It’s the right thing to do. We have been Israel’s friend and I don’t want that to change.

Seems to me that the U.S.A.not only needs to rethink the $400 million to the P.A. but needs to support financially democracy only to Isreal and not support the P.A. because of their alliance with violence and extremism. We should only be supporting democracy, nothing else. Money talks, and it talks loudly. Not supporting the P.A. would speak volumes.
The money we currently give the P.A. goes for terrorism, in my opinion.

I FEEL SOME COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN PICKED OUT B THAT ARE ON THE WRONG TRACK TOWARD ISRAEL. IT GRIEVES MY HEART TO KNOW BEHIND THE SCENES ARE THINGS GOING ON THAT DON’T LOOK GOOD HERE. I THINK THAT IS WHY MR. TRUMP ASKED WHY IS HE PICKING CERTAIN COUNTRIES TO HELP? WE LOVE ISRAEL, AND WILL PRAY CONTINUALLY FOR HER. MY HEART’S DESIRE IS TO BE IN ISRAEL, MYSELF. I SEE SOME SPEAKING OUT OF BOTH SIDES OF THEIR MOUTH. VETO AT THE UN YET HELPING THESE COUNTRIES THAT WILL STAND AGAINST ISRAEL AND CONTIBUTING TO THEM?? IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLUS WEAPONS ARE GETTING OUT SOMEWHERE. WE KNOW THERE IS A GOD WHO FAVORS ISRAEL AND THAT IS WHAT I AM COUNTING ON AND HAVE FAITH IN.
