Two Palestinian students – 19-year-old Amjad Awad and 18-year-old Hakim Awad – have confessed to murdering five members of the Fogel family on March 11. “We would have killed the other two children, but didn’t know they were there,” one suspect told Israeli interrogators. They offered a detailed account of the massacre:
Immediately after entering the home, the youths set their knives on two brothers sleeping in their beds, four-year-old Elad, and 11-year-old Yoav, killing them both.
They then entered the parents’ bedroom, where they launched a knife attack on Ehud and Ruth Fogel. The parents fought back. During the struggle, one of the suspects used the stolen M-16 to shoot Ruth Fogel dead. Ehud died of his stab wounds during the fight.
The two men left the house, but then they heard three-month-old Hadas crying.
Awoken by the attack, the baby lay in her crib in her parents’ bedroom.
“They went back into the house and stabbed the baby to death,” a security source said.
Not only are the two unrelated suspects members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), so are several members of Hakim’s family, including his father and an uncle. Suspected accomplices are also under arrest.

The age of these boys is telling. They were raised to believe that killing Jews was acceptable. Whoever taught these boys to hate enough to murder bears as much blame as the murderers themselves. This should prove beyond any doubt that under current circumstances, peace with the Palestinians is impossible. In my opinion, Israel should annex the West Bank and be done with it. If the Palestinians want a state, let them declare it in Gaza where there are no more Jewish settlements.

My prayers are for the living survivors. May God give you the peace to deal with your loss. No one deserves to die that way. And specially innocent children. These men will be judged by God. I have no comment on what way they should be punished. But whatever the punishment will be it is well deserved for their crime.

However, if I die to my fleshly man and listen to the Ruach HaKodesh as He speaks in my spirit, I want to remind us all that the judgment these two men deserve has already been executed. This judgment occurred at Gulgolta and was rendered substitutionarily upon Yeshua HaNozri, HaMoshiach, Ha Ben Yah. These men need to know the Good News of Shalom found in B’rit HaDesha. In eternity, they already stand condemned. However, ADONAI deemed them worthy of his own blood and freely shed it for them and us. Now we know evil takes no care in whoes body it dwells.These men deserve the justice that only death can deliver but we must avoid becomming like them in speech or in action.Let this kind of evil remain in the hearts of your enemies and keep it far from you. I agree we must not let our shock and anger take over or we will become like them. This is what satan wants. I don’t think I can pray for these evil men. I can only pray that if there is any remorse in these two that they ask for God’s forgiveness. I leave the judgement and punishment to him. I find it impossible to understand how they could do these horrible acts, the killing of children and an infant. These men surely have no souls.

The Romans had a particular punishment that I think would be appropriate for these evil young men. Tie each of them in a sack along with a rooster, a snake, a dog and a monkey. Then, throw the sacks into the ocean. The animals would tear apart the criminals while fighting to escape the sack and drowning…

An eye for an eye…that is old school. More appropriate would be to let God deal with their souls…Tell them about Gods love, and His punishment for anyone who does evil. Then tell them about Gods forgiveness for sins through the Savior.Let them have the opportunity to confess the Lord, and then lethal injection. Capital Punishment is what God is good at. Why make us suffer, why make the family suffer paying taxes to keep these criminal alive in our memory. God says “Send them to Him.”

I will not debate the point either way, as it is not the reason for my post. Instead, I wanted to let you know (as I’m assuming you’re a Christian) that we Jews interpret that particular verse in an altogether different way than does Christian theology.

I am so confused about the death sentence-I thought I didn’t believe in it-life in prison with no parole. BUT-we are in a fight for our and our love ones lives. They want to kills us all and will be successful unless we stop them. This means we must kill. So be it. We kill for survival, not out of hatred. we want a peaceful world but they do not.
