Placing the blame correctly — for once

Recently there was a serious power shortage in Gaza. Many were quick to blame Israel for the problem — you know, blaming the Jewish state is just standard operating procedure for some. But Khaled Abu Toameh points out an interesting turn of events:

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights announced this week that Palestinians — not Israel — were to blame for the electricity crisis.

The human rights group pointed out that Hamas announced that the operation of the Gaza Energy Plant was stopped because it ran out of fuel.

Until recently, the fuel used to be smuggled from Egypt through underground tunnels. Before that, the fuel was bought from Israel, and the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank used to cover the costs. But because of the dispute between Hamas and Fatah, the Palestinian Authority stopped its contribution.

Palestinian Authority officials have accused Hamas of stealing the fuel for its own institutions and vehicles.

So if anyone is to blame for the fact that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been left without electricity it’s both Hamas and Fatah.

Have the Palestinian people EVER been well-served by their rulers?

Psalm 125 :3. The Lord won’t let the wicked rule His people(Israel) or lead them to do wrong.

The Palestinians are being used by the PLO who brought them together in the first place, and by Hamas and Hezbolah. They come from all the Arab states and claim a right to a piece of land GOD owns, that they never lived on? Why doesn’t the world get this? It is the biggest con job ever! I stand with Israel! Israel is not abusing anyone, but Israel cannot sit by and be abused! Yassar Arafat picture was on the front of Time Magazine in the 60″s and the title of the magazine said “Terrorist” Haven’t seen any change HE was just the first!! Arafat’s aim was to destroy Israel, Bin Laden’s the USA. There is an agenda here! Evil thrives when enough good men do nothing! Nice to know so many stand with Israel

This sons of the bond woman’ll never see anything good in Israel, so don’t even try to please them, do not try pleasing the west or any one, do all you ought to defend your people; neither will the western world openly support you. They have no courage like you, beloved Israel, be strong and rule Thou in the midst of Thy enemies, for Jehovah ElGibbor is with Thee!

PstObinna, Jesus was the founder of an (allegedly) peaceful sect and he preached to pray 4 enemies, love ur enemies, conquer evil with good. From ur post, sounds as if uv’e never heard of him.

The world’s attitude toward Israel is irrational and irrelevant. Israel is the only nation in the world with the One true God. No other nation has the right to that claim, no matter how many Christians any nation contains. Israel needs only to consult their Scriptures and then to act accordingly. The rest of the world (true Christians excepted), will condemn them no matter what they do, so instead of seeking to please the world, (which they will not be able to do) they should seek to please only God. He alone is their Deliverer.

but then again, i believe that Palestinians are just as human as us Jews and deserve as much human and civil rights as Jews. Muslims believe in ONE GOD, Jews too. Christians? The THREE-IN-ONE-god.

This suffering and inconvenience can stop, if there was open border between Gaza and Israel. Hamas do the 1.5 million citizens of Gaza a favor. Recognize the State of Israel.

The way I see it is even if Hamas said Okay we recognize Israel. Now what? You still couldn’t trust them with your lives, they could still kill and would kill anyone that doesn’t support the their cause. Hamas & Hezbollah need to be destroyed. You don’t negotiate with terrorists you destroy them. The only reason the American and the Western world aren’t to concerned and we should understand the palestians is because their own towns and cities aren’t being shelled and bombs aren’t going off in shopping malls. I wonder what Obama would do if Dallas was being rocketed from Mexico? Well he would prob give Texas back to Mexico (bad example)

Israel continues to be the scapegoat for anything and everything that is wrong in the Middle East. We,as Christians, must stand with Israel and show the world that she is not alone.
