Jimmy Carter is excited. Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (P.A.) have reconciled. Palestinian unity — and peace – are in the air. On Friday the Carter Center issued a statement that includes this quote from the former President:
Based on my years of contacts with Fatah and Hamas, I am confident that, if handled creatively and flexibly by the international community, Hamas’ return to unified Palestinian governance can increase the likelihood of a two-state solution and a peaceful outcome.
No word on whether Hamas’ “return to unified Palestinian governance” includes an agreement by the terrorist group to give up its vow to destroy Israel and a commitment stop killing Jews.
In the Carter Center statement, Mr. Carter also enthusiastically maintains that the reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah will help “preserve Palestinian democracy.” Hmmm. The question is: How do you ”preserve” something that never existed in the first place?

What do you think?

By Conviction, I Believe
• By conviction, I believe Israel was ordained by Scripture. To have resisted it would have been sin and futile for it is stated: “He who blesses thee, I will bless; he who curses thee, I will curse” (Genesis 12:3).
• By conviction, I believe God chose Israel as the nation through which He mplements His plan for all nations.
• By conviction, I believe that the re-establishment and re-creation of the State of Israel in 1947-1948 is the Restoration of the Jews to their historical homeland as I also believe that Jerusalem is its capital.
• By conviction, I believe in the State of Israel for it is a righteous state, re-established by the power of God after an absence of some two millenniums – a miracle in itself.
• By conviction, I believe in the State of Israel as a symbol of democracy in a geographical area where there is about none – how I wish for an Egypt or other Middle East country to have a democracy such as the one in Israel.
• By conviction, I believe that the State of Israel is the USA’s first line of defense. I hope and pray that the people of the USA never forget it, and that ongoing support never ceases.
May God bless Israel on this very special occasion, as it today marks the 63rd anniversary of its re-establishment.

Jimmy Carter and anyone else friends with these Arabs are complicit in all the wrong they do, including the murders. They are not fighting for democracy, but for the end of Israel, Jews, Christians and anyone not Islamic. It has been my experience over the years that anyone who admits he is bad is surely bad. One had better listen. Just because an ex-President calls them his friend doesn’t undo their murderous ways. It does place Carter and his supporters about ISRAEL in the same catagory; Enemies of democracy and non-Muslims.
7:26 pm
robert, you have your theology all wrong!you sound just like carter,so you must be a democrat! you don’t know what you are talking about at all! in the first place, when you say peace, you had better be ready to leave this place called earth!there will only be peace for 42 months and then sudden destruction will start, just hope you aren’t left here to be in it!if you read the scriptures you had better study up on them,it will happen just as the LORD say’s it will.ye must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven,no one can come to the FATHER,except through the SON,repent and call upon the LORD while you have time!

Ignorance – Deception ? You choose, but this man IS AN EMBRASSMENT to the USA and I will never call him PRESIDENT again. GO HOME JIMMY, GO FISHING JIMMY, READ YOUR BIBLE JIMMY ! God have mercy on your soul, you are truly accursed by the Word of God who says: He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her. Surely you are a curse to her. So be your decision and outcome !
7:38 am
Mr. Carter is retired and SHOULD have more time to read the Word of God. Just like tax dollars, more opportunity thrown out the window. My, oh my. Come what may, Israel WILL be protected by the Lord God Almighty. It doesn’t matter who believes it and who doesn’t….it is the Word of God. I don’t like how Israel seems “surrounded” by all those who want to do her harm. Look at Gaza and the West Bank. I will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Woe to those who don’t.

Well done ! well done !

Proverbs 11:10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

His comments along with his presence, then the same type of words with such horrible actions by Obama overwhelms me with grief and then embarrassment to be an American. I am so thankful God has grafted me into your family of Isreal and the chance to stand and speak out for your protection. Please accept my apology for these people in power and their evil. I will do everything I can to stop this craziness …
11:07 pm
I feel sorry for the ex Pres. He demonstrates a complete lack of wisdom and discernment for someone obtaining such high office. His compassion is totally misguided.
10:17 pm
I wouldn’t trust the Palestinian Authority or Hamas. They have never recognized the right for Israel to even to exist.
Prayers
God Bless
Mac

I always hope for commplete peace for Israel, but my experience with President Carter, is that he has high hopes, but he makes things worse.
6:37 pm
wishful thinking jimmy carter!they have never existed in the first place, you are way behing and need to catch up on world events!
4:56 pm
Jimmy Carter is an embarrassment to the American people, especially his home state of Georgia. How we WISH he would retire his mouth. He knows nothing of the Word of God or he would use his big mouth for repentance instead of trying to trouble Israel. If it is any comfort, he has likewise attacked the Baptists (which he claimed to be a teacher of) He gives aid and comfort to the enemies of the country (which he took an oath to protect and defend) He keeps himself in the news by patronizing the downtrodden, giving himself all the glory. Someday he will meet the “Holy One of Israel” face to face and as the prophet Jeremiah said, “What will you do in the end of it?”
2:02 pm
God’s word says that we are not to seperate His land. Jimmy carter says that he is a christian, yet he continues to try to seperate Jerusalem.I think that we need to pray for him. Also we need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

the peanut man has always pushed for the east.
12:40 pm
This guy is a disgrace. He really thinks there is a moral equivalence between Israeli and the surrounding Arab states. Would he please just move to Iran.
12:24 pm
Was this suiposed to be an educated statement??? Is so it went right over my head!!! Lol
12:22 pm
from reading the Bible i do know and believe that the land of Israel (and more) belongs to the Jewish people. someone like mr. carter, at his age, has gone to church and knows these things. he is just agreeing with something that doesn’t make sense. i do know that we will not be blessed if we continue this way. not all americans feel like mr. carter. that also includes some in our government. God have mercy on us and continue to bless Israel. Our God is an awesome God. in Christ, mary<

Seriously?? I don’t think it will ever work – the whole raison d’etre of Hamas is to destroy Israel and drive the Jewish people into the Mediterranean. What kind of pure fantasy in Jimmy Carter’s mind could think that they would ever agree to stop the very thing that is their reason for being? Palestine ceased existing in May, 1948 – when the State of Israel was born. It has never been since then and no matter how much Hamas and the Palestinian Authority – and I question that term as well – want it to, I sincerely doubt that they will get what they ultimately want – and that is the whole of the glorious State of Israel for their own. There can never be a “two state solution” or a peaceful outcome – unfortunately peace is not part of their vocabulary.
12:01 pm
I believe that Jimmy Carter has become senile. Hamas and Fatah are both terrorists and their main goal is to get rid of Israel. God will protect Israel just as he said in the Bible. God bless Israel.
9:24 pm
I personally think Jimmy Carter is nothing more than an ignorant old fool. That would be better served by keeping his big mouth shut. It is better to be thought of as an idiot; than to open your mouth and remove all doubt…HW
2:53 pm
I think you people are so deeply committed to your status as victims that you can not see the crimes committed by the Israelis and their supporters against people who had nothing to do with German genocide. The only hope for peace in the area is a new state founded on one person, one vote with special favors for none, just as in South Africa.
9:48 pm
Robert, I’m sorry, but you don’t know WWII history. The Arabs did fight with Hitler against the US and Europe. The Leader of the Mosque in Jerusalem spent the war years in Germany sometimes living with Hitler helping him plan the extermination of Jews. This is documented. There are pictures of them together taken long before photoshop. Don’t allow people to make a fool of you Robert. Many will take delight in doing so. Protect yourself from them. Read, read, read and investigate to find the truth. I believe you will find the History of WWII very interesting. You sound like a smart individual who will really enjoy investigating the facts. Enjoy them as I have.
