An ancient text goes online

There are plenty of examples of technology being used for the wrong purposes — but here’s a use of technology that enlightens and educates:

Almost one week after debuting online, the website featuring the 2,000-year-old Dead Sea Scrolls has already drawn more than a million hits.

The Israel Museum and Google Israel launched the site Sept. 26. They say interest in the ancient scrolls has exceeded expectations.

“We didn’t know it would be so popular; we’ve had so many visitors in such a short period of time,” Dr. Susan Hazan, the Israel Museum curator overseeing the Dead Sea Scrolls Digital Project, said in the Jerusalem Post.

Amazing — we do indeed live in an age of wonders!

Not all Isrealis are racists Just the ones in charge I’m so sick of people calling Israelis Nazis. When Muslims controlled Palestines, Jews were treated as citizens with respect. What has happened? If there really was a God, what would it think about how Palestinians have had their lands, their homes, stolen?

The Israelis did not steal Palestinian lands. Read a little before you become too ignorant.

read up on history. Arabs never owned Israel. Jews did until they were driven out in 70 AD They are returning to their land. The land in the time frame from 70 AD to WWII was owned by Turks.

Only God can give what belongs to Him. I think Israel should get all the land God gave to them.
14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: 15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. 16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. 17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. 18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD
Gen 13:14-18 (KJV) In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: 19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, 20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, 21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
      Gen 15:18-21 (KJV)
